September 28, 2010
Fruitland City Hall
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Chairman Nate Jones. Those in attendance included Duane Youngberg, Donna Peterson, Dale McIntire, Nate Jones, Sandy Aujero, and True Pearce. Also present in the audience was Dolly Gill.
Invocation was offered by Dale McIntire.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Nate Jones.
Roll call was done by substituting secretary Donna Peterson. It was determined that a quorum was present.
Minutes were read by Nate Jones, corrections were made. There was a motion to accept the corrections and seconded by Dale McIntire. There was a motion made by Duane Youngberg to accept the amended minutes and seconded by Dale McIntire. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report: Balance in the account as of 9/28/2010 is $1,192.27.
Old Business:
A report was made by those that were able to attend Labrador Fundraiser. It was reported that there had been about 250+ people in attendance and they were able to raise approximately $20,000 toward his campaign.
Duane read the quote on the back of Raul's fundraiser ticket which was a quote from Thomas Paine, The Crisis, December 1776.
True talked about a fact sheet that is being compiled and will be e-mailed to Nate for him to send out to the Central Committee members. We discussed sending out the information via e-mail.
New Business:
Voter Registration. Nate passed out a list of 10 people each to each of the committee members present. These are new people to the area. We are to contact them and invite them to register to vote and try to determine their party affiliation. These need to be completed and returned to Nate. They can be faxed to 815-366-8100 when completed.
Literature drop was discussed. Nate will contact the candidates and see when they can have their information available for us to pass out within our precinct. Nate will check to see if they have electronic format of their literature so that we can e-mail it out. The Bus Tour schedule was passed out but was not discussed.
There was a motion to adjourn by Sandy Aujero and seconded by Dale McIntire. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00pm.
